# Product details

A product page lets you check one product's data, edit its content, and set how shoppers can buy it. Each product in your catalog has its own product page.

To open it, go to **Catalog** and click a product title. To go back to the list, click **Catalog** in the breadcrumb at the top.

### Matches: the same product at other retailers

A match links this product to the same product at another retailer. Matches are on **Overview → Matches**.

Each match card shows the matched product's own image, its brand and its title. It also shows **Stackline SKU**, **Retailer SKU**, **Retailer Price** and **Retailer**. **Retailer** shows the retailer name with its retailer ID in brackets, as **Name (retailer ID)**. When the name is not known, it shows the ID only.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the dialog

On **Overview → Matches**, click **Add Match**. The **Add Match** dialog opens.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose a channel

Select a channel. A channel of a known retailer shows as **Name (retailer ID)**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Search for the product

Search by title, Stackline SKU, or retailer SKU. Each result shows the product's own image and title, **Retailer**, **Retail Price** and **Retailer SKU**. The **Retailer** column uses the **Name (retailer ID)** form too.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add the match

Select the product, and click **Add Match**. The new card shows under **Matched Products**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

To open the matched product, click the Matched control on its card, then **View product details**.

To remove a match:

1. Click the Matched control on its card.
2. Click **Unmatch product**.
3. Confirm in the dialog.

### Edit variations

* To change a variation type, edit it in the **Types** card, and click **Save**. This works only when the product has a parent SKU.
* To remove a child from this parent, open its row menu in **Associated Child Variations**. Click **Unlink from this parent SKU**, and confirm in the dialog.

## Assets

Assets are the content that shoppers see. Only approved items show to shoppers.

Most asset tabs have a **Status** for each item: Approved, Pending, or Denied. To change a status, click it and choose the new one. Then click **Change status**.

| Tab              | What it holds                                                                                                                                                                                                                        | Actions                                                                        |

Other brands see **What's Included**, **Technical Specs and Details**, **Ingredients**, and **Packaging**. | **Add Meta Field**, edit, **Generate with AI** |

### Content and the master version

The **Master Content** card shows the content that is published. The second card shows another source, such as a retailer or content that you added. Pick the source from its menu.

* Click **Set as master** on the source card to replace all master content with that source.
* Click the **Set as master** icon on one field to replace only that field.
* Click the **Edit** icon on a field to edit it. Then click **Save**.

Click **Lock content** to lock the master content. While it is locked, you cannot edit fields or pick another source. Click **Unlock content** to unlock it. A lock changes the live page for this product only.

On a family master product, a lock guides AI generation but does not change the live page. To change what shoppers see, lock a variant.

### Questions and generated content

Generated questions go live until 5 are active. More generated questions arrive as Pending for you to review.

For meta fields, generated drafts come from this product's own catalog data. Ingredients have no catalog source.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always check a generated **Ingredients** list against the product label.
{% endhint %}

A value that the AI filled shows the source **AI extracted**. If you edit it, ShopperOS keeps your text, and the value counts as entered by hand. Later AI runs do not change it.

To approve or deny the values of many products at once, use **Review** in **Settings → Catalog → Product fields**. See [Review values](/catalog/catalog.md#review-values).

### Check values against your store page

**Crawl store PDP** reads this product's page on your own store, with its images. Then it compares what it finds with the saved values. A brand with product fields sees it on **Assets** → **Meta Fields**, beside **Generate with AI**.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Start the crawl

Click **Crawl store PDP**. The crawl takes about a minute.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Read the review

The review sorts what the crawl found into sections.

| Section              | What it shows                                                                       |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Different** | The page says something else. The saved value and the page value show side by side. |
| **New** | No value is saved yet. These start ticked. |
| **Matching** | The page agrees with the saved value. |
| **Not on page** | A value is saved, but the page does not show it. Nothing is deleted. |
| **Size gaps** | Variants that got no value, and answers that matched no variant. |
| **Suggested fields** | Facts on the page that fit no field. They are not saved. |
| {% endstep %}        |                                                                                     |

{% step %}

### Tick the values to keep

A **Different** value replaces the saved one only when you tick it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save

Click **Apply selected** to save them as approved. Or click **Save for later** to save them for review.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Done. The values you ticked are saved. Values saved for later wait under **Review** in [Settings → Catalog → Product fields](/catalog/catalog.md#review-values).

Brandclub team The team also sees **Add as field** and **Belongs to a field** beside each suggested fact. **Add as field** drafts a new product field from the fact. The team checks it, tries it on the product, and saves it to Base or to a group. **Belongs to a field** improves the hint of a field that missed the fact. After either, the crawl runs again for that field, so you can apply its value. Other products get a new field at the next **Fill product fields**.

## Research

The **Research** section runs one Catalyst research step for this product, outside a page. Use it to check what Catalyst reads and finds before you build a page. Each tab is one step: **Product facts**, **Journeys**, **Competitors**, or **Audience**. For what each step reads, see [What the research reads](/pages-studio/catalyst.md#what-the-research-reads).

A run does not change any page or chat.

  F --> C[Competitors]
  J --> C
  F --> A[Audience]

*Some steps build on earlier steps. Journeys builds on Product facts. Competitors builds on Product facts and Journeys. Audience builds on all three.*

### Run a step

Before you start, run the earlier steps. If an earlier step has not run for this product, a warning names it. Run it first, so the findings can use it.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the step

In **Research**, open the step's tab.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Run it

Click **Run this step**. The button shows **Running…**. A run takes a minute or two.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Done. When it ends, the run shows its results. Next, [read the run](#read-a-run).

Each step keeps one run for each product.

* To run the step again, click **Run again**. A new run replaces the last one, and reads the data again.
* To delete a run, click **Delete run**, then **Delete** to confirm.

### Read a run

Choose a view in **Show**:

| **Findings** | The findings, in the same cards as a Catalyst page. You cannot change them here. |
| **Checks** | Each check of the run, with Pass or Fail, what it found, and what it means. The view name counts the failing checks. |
| **Skills** | The instructions this step runs with. Edit a file and click **Save for this app** to change it for your project only. Reset it to go back to the global file. The next run uses your change. |

</details>

<details>

What if a run stops before it ends?

A run also fails when it stops before it ends, for example when the server restarts. It then reads as failed after about two minutes. Run the step again.
